WHAT WE BELIEVE
- Scripture is the authoritative, inspired, sufficient and innerrent Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16)
- God's desire is that all be saved. (2 Timothy 2:4, 2 Peter 3:9, Ezekiel 18:23)
- The result of sin is eternal death (hell). But, through Jesus, forgiveness and salvation are freely given. (Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23)
- Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation. (Acts 4:12)
- Jesus came to this earth in flesh and blood in order to die on the cross to pay for our sins and purchase salvation for us. (John 3:16-17, Mark 10:45)
- Jesus was both fully man and fully God. His life, death, and resurrection are supported historical events. (Colossians 2:9, 1 Corinthians 15:4)
- Everyone must make a personal decision to follow Jesus to be saved. (Romans 10:13)
- Salvation is promised and can be known with confidence by all who believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior. (1 John 5:13)
- Jesus is coming again! (John 14:3)
- A day of resurrection is coming; people will either go to eternal life in heaven or to eternal separation from God. (John 14:3)
- The work of the Holy Spirit is to bring people to faith in God, to convict people of sins, and to teach believers about the truth of God. (John 16:13)
- Every Christian has received a spiritual gift (talent) which is given by God for the purpose of serving others and bringing glory to God. (1 Peter 4:10, 1 Corinthians 12:7, 11)
- God instructs all Christians to be actively involved in a local church for their spiritual growth. (Hebrews 10:24-25)
- We faithfully celebrate the gift of God's grace through the means of His word and the sacraments of baptism or communion. (2 Timothy, Titus 3:4-7, Matthew 26:26-28)
